Faber thinks that society sucks because the fear of books isn't based because books are not dangerous, it's what's wrote in books that is important

It was a mistake for Montag because he exposed the fact that he owned books and Mildred's friends did not reacted the way that Montag thought. At the end of the chapter, Montag arrived at his house because someone called the firemen because that person knew that Montag had books.

Explain the title of part 2 in relation to Montag.

The title's meaning is that the sieve represents Montag because he lets the information pass through him because he doesn't seem to have a side. The sand represents the information.
